Hot Spotz® XP Tape is an ASTM D6413 rated, heat resistant thermal insulating tape. This tape offers a convenient method of adding an effective thermal heat shield to objects being damaged by excessive radiant heat. Hot Spotz® XP combines a durable woven fiberglass fabric coated with a polymeric compound and a laminated Aluminum foil layer on one side.
Our certified ASTM D6413, 1 Sec rated tape uses aluminum to provide radiant insulation and act as a vapor barrier while the high-temperature fiberglass fabric insulates the protected component. An acrylic high-temperature transfer adhesive strip on the fiberglass side aids in keeping the product in place as the material is installed.
